U can do vanquishes 2-3 times faster with necros healer then a monk these days u dont have to wait for energy now and with all these healing nerfs making the monks more and more useless

It is not only that it may have effected the Mo/Mes 55 build.

Whatever.

My one question - I get why they changed Ether Prism for PvP, but why PvE as well? Did anyone even use it?

Changing it for both formats is easier than making 2 separate versions. Since it didn't really see any use in pve, i would assume they just went the easier route.

For a while I had faith with the PvE balancing. Ritualists, pets, etc.

Lack of mesmer and dervish love while allowing assassins to perma shows incompetence.

It is not the end of year yet.It could be possible that in 2 months from now they may do something about SF.They may want to see how all this works out first.Mantra of Reslove was never used in pvp correct me if I am wrong though.

I do have Perma SF Sin but I am bad at playing it compared to good ole 55.I just went to EoTN for GoS.

I feel bad for Selfless Spirit, made life easy for lazy monks like me.

No buffs are what disapoint me, game always becomes interessting with some skill changes.

Its gonna suck hard to see all the permas swimm in Gold for atleast another month, hell I wish I had better nervs, would go out and farm UW 24/7 but since I dont...... nerf SF!

People will finally notice that there are some other classes besides monks and sins in GW. Anyways farming raptors is fastest on a warrior imho.

Great update. Keep more of those coming.

Re: Mantra of Resolve and 600s

It's amazing how many people think this is basically the death of a 600. It is certainly not. All MoR gave you was a stupid ability not to be interrupted (given you had enough of an energy pool) for a period of time. Always was surprised that ANets radar never picked this up - now that they have, I actually quite applaud it.

Why? It brings slight challenge back to 600ing. Too many people became reliant on MoR. Now we have some skill being brought back into the fray (yes skill+PvE).

If interrupts are soooo much of a problem peeps, there are other skills out that that can replace the one mesmer skill in your bar (I'm purely talking about the generic 600 bar and not mesmer centric ones, e.g. used in DOA).

And for those of you whining about Shadow Form not being nerfed, please just stop. ANet only confirmed a couple of weeks ago that this skill is on the radar now. They are not going to rush it in, more like take their time with it and get it right.

MoR update is just a sign of things to come

at least E/Mo 600/smites aren't affected, but they are nowhere as powerful as Mo/Mes

Are you freaking kidding me? STILL NO SHADOW FORM NERF!!!!! Its a completely game breaking skill, thee is no point in 'balancng' anything else while this still exists, I mean seriously do ye even play the game?

You must not know what people do with it, let me inform you. If you use this skill called 'Deadly Paradox' while under the effect of an 'Essence of Celerity' you can keep up Shadow Form permanently which, you guessed it, makes you invincible. ZOMG.

I hope my description of the uses of Shadow Form is clear enough for you to understand at ANET, (the fact that it still exists after some 12 months?) makes me doubt whether you can even understand whats written here for ye or ye are just unable to comprehend what its doing to your game.

PS. nerf to patient spirit, why, seriously why?

This allows guilds to create builds that revolve around 2 pure offensive characters, 2 pure defensive characters, and 4 mainly defensive characters with two or three skills dedicated to offense and still get kills. If you fill your build with a ton of defense, it should not be possible to kill anything. If you fill your build with a lot of offense, it should not be possible to stay alive for long periods of time. In the games current form, you can overload defense and still kill at a very high efficiency. The entire game needs to be toned down so that this is no longer possible. Buffing un used skills and counters to the overpowered skills doesn't fix the real problem. All it does is change the meta from one overpowered build to the overpowered builds counter and then the next counter and the next and the next and the next......
This!

Update was just a small fix to what they broke earlier. Still lot to do to balance this game.

Best update in a long time. Linsey's effort to get up to speed (pvpwise) is really showing.

Tbh, pve is easy enough and there's plenty of build variety, all you hear right now are people complaining about their niche builds. If they have to take a hit for the good of pvp balance, so be it.

"* Mantra of Resolve: decreased duration to 5 seconds."
WTH, at least remove the energy loss, this will now see no more play for a long long while.

A question for the nerf SF crowd. Was it said that that particular skill would be nerf or was the build overall going to get nerfed?

My Ele uses MoR for HM Raptor farm... but I don't think I need to change anything - the MoR nerf shouldn't stop the build working. (5 seconds is plenty to cast everything I need without getting interrupted). I haven't logged in to verify it yet, but I'm guessing this guy has:
